Join the Team at Kioku by Endo: Sommelier Position
Are you a passionate sommelier who thrives on delivering world-class service and curating unforgettable dining experiences? Do you have a love for both fine wine and premium sake?
Kioku by Endo is seeking a knowledgeable, guest-focused Sommelier to support our unique beverage offering and help shape one of London’s most exciting drinks programs.
About Us:
Kioku, meaning memory in Japanese, is the personal vision of Chef Endo Kazutoshi, a third-generation sushi master. Rooted in his own life journey—across Yokohama, Tokyo, and Spain—Kioku blends Japanese elegance with Mediterranean soul. Nestled within The OWO, with panoramic views of Trafalgar Square, the restaurant is a celebration of treasured memories and the culinary artistry that creates them.
The Experience:
At Kioku, the beverage offering is integral to our story. As Sommelier, you’ll play a key role in delivering this vision—guiding our guests through an exceptional wine and sake program that complements our menu and deepens the dining experience.
You’ll support both our main dining room, where Sake Samurai Natsuki Kikuya has curated one of the most bespoke sake collections in London, featuring over 100 varieties. Alongside this, you’ll work closely with our Head Sommelier and beverage team to elevate our wine program, combining Old World classics with lesser-known gems, always selected with care and storytelling in mind.
What We Offer:
Shared Service Charge: Recognising your contribution to our guest experience.
Team Meals: Enjoy nourishing daily meals from our kitchen.
Dining Discounts: Receive 50% off at Kioku by Endo.
Training & Development: Sake and WSET qualifications, mentorship, and bespoke training pathways.
Birthday Day Off: Celebrate your day in your own way.
Festive Traditions: Join our joyful end-of-year and seasonal celebrations.
Referral Bonuses: Invite great talent and be rewarded.
Supportive Culture: Work in a values-driven, people-first environment.
Wagestream Access: Flexible access to your earnings.
Paid Holidays: 28 days of leave to recharge and reflect.
Who We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a sommelier or wine service role within a high-end, fine dining, or Michelin-recommended setting.
A deep appreciation for both wine and sake, with the enthusiasm to keep learning.
WSET qualifications are desirable; sake knowledge or certification (or willingness to learn) is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural warmth and passion for guest service.
Someone who thrives in a collaborative, high-performance team and is open to growth and new ideas.
