Description

We’re looking for a talented and ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join the kitchen brigade at The Bull, our award-winning country pub in Charlbury.

Since opening last summer, our team are super proud to have earned a spot in the Estrella Top 50 Gastropubs 2025 and gained recognition in the Michelin Guide 2025 along with having fantastic feedback from our guests and critics alike. You can find out more here.

  •  Salary - £37,000 - £40,000 per annum+ Tips (Earn up to £15,000 per annum)

What you'll be doing as a Junior Sous chef at The Bull: 

  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in running a smooth and efficient kitchen
  • Help lead and mentor junior team members
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene, and consistency
  • Contribute ideas for seasonal menus and daily specials
  • Be hands-on during busy service periods

About you, our new Junior Sous Chef at The Bull:

  • A passion for creating delicious, seasonal dishes.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a quality kitchen
  • Excellent communication, and organisational skills.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Passion for seasonal British produce and sustainability
  • A calm, positive attitude and a genuine team spirit
