Description

Be a Head Chef but most importantly be you!

Right in the heart of Bath, the UK's best city, officially. The Bird is a boutique hotel with a bold personality. Think vibrant rooms, a seriously good grill restaurant, and a terrace that catches every ray of Bath sunshine. We're not your average hotel, and we don't want average people running it.

What's it like to work here?

Imaginative, a little unconventional, and genuinely good fun. Whether hospitality is your first job or your life's work, you'll find a team that encourages you to be yourself fully, unapologetically, the you'est you. We're big-hearted, inclusive, and we look out for each other as much as we do our guests.

Oh, and we're absolutely serious about giving those guests a bloody good time.

As Head Chef what you’ll be doing

  • Be the leader of our Brigade in this hands-on Head Chef role. This is an opportunity to work closely with the senior management team here to put your stamp on our restaurant and continue to enrich our reputation
  • Take ownership of menus for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner as well as new and interesting challenges including our outside Dining Dome menu and catering for in house functions (not to mention staff food too!)
  • You’ll be in a fun, zesty, location so you will need to be a Head Chef who can effectively manage a team of chefs and kitchen porters to ensure the best service is provided while maintaining industry standards
  • Finally, you will be leading with passion and working closely with your fellow senior managers. That means creating your rotas in good time, managing hygiene standards, controlling food costs and taking care of stock orders. This should all be second nature as you

What happens next with your Head Chef application?

Attract our attention with your application and we’ll call you. After we speak on the phone you can expect a friendly invite to spend an hour or two on a Team Insight with your chosen department – Ask all your questions and we will ask you a few too. If all goes well, you may just become part of the team!
