Description

Be a Kitchen Porter but most importantly be you!

Voted into the Times' 100 Best Places, Bishopstrow is a whimsical country house hotel set within 30 acres of glorious Wiltshire countryside and there's genuinely nowhere quite like it. Gregarious rooms, a newly launched spa, The Grill restaurant, and a kitchen garden that feeds both all wrapped up in Georgian elegance with a healthy dose of colour and imagination.

We're in the middle of an exciting chapter right now. New suites, a reimagined kitchen garden restaurant, and a spa that's causing quite a stir. If you want to be part of something that's growing, evolving, and always a little bit surprising, this is the place.

What's it like to work here?

Much like the hotel itself imaginative, warm, and never boring. We're a playful team who back each other to stay unconventional, whether you're brand new to hospitality or this is your life's work. Our community is diverse, inclusive, and genuinely big-hearted; the kind of place where you're encouraged to be fully, unapologetically yourself.

We care deeply about our guests, each other, and the wider community. And yes we're absolutely serious about giving people a bloody good time.

As Kitchen Porter what you’ll be doing

  • Our Kitchen Porters are the backbone of our Kitchen, you’ll be in charge of keeping our lovely little kitchen clean, tidy and safe when you’re at work
  • Our team of Kitchen Porters are trained to take care of all the kitchen and restaurant pots and crockery which helps bring some variety to your day
  • Cleanliness is going to be a priority for you, you’ll be trained to help our Chef’s clean down and stay tidy through the day
  • Progression is something we like and if it’s something you like too then we will start to train you on basic food prep in the kitchen
  • Leave the job at the door. Once you hang your apron up this is the kind of job you can switch off from until your next shift, work life balance is important

What happens next with your Kitchen Porter application?

Attract our attention with your application and we’ll call you. After we speak on the phone you can expect a friendly invite to spend an hour or two on a Team Insight with your chosen department – Ask all your questions and we will ask you a few too. If all goes well, you may just become part of the team!
