Be our Head Chef but most importantly be you -

We are seeking a talented and reliable Head Chef to lead day-to-day kitchen operations and deliver a fresh, refined, café-style menu with consistency and flair at  Concours House in Bradford on Avon. A Head Chef who can combine strong cooking ability with organisation, calm leadership, and a genuine passion for quality ingredients and service. You need to be confident running a professional kitchen, maintaining high standards, and contributing creatively to menu development. 

What's also exciting about this role is that you will have set rota with every Monday and Tuesday off, and regular 7:30am to 4:30pm hours - although there may be a few exceptions with amazing VIP evening event! 

What you will be doing -

  • Lead daily kitchen service with a strong focus on quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Prepare and deliver a fresh, elevated café-style menu to a high standard
  • Support the development of seasonal dishes, specials, and event menus
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness across the kitchen, including all COSHH and HACCP due diligence
  • Manage prep, stock rotation, ordering, and wastage control
  • Ensure efficient kitchen systems and smooth service during busy periods
  • Train, motivate, and support junior kitchen team members where needed
  • Work closely with front-of-house and management to create a seamless guest experience
  • Help shape a food offering that reflects the premium identity of Concours House

What you'll need to bring -

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, Senior Chef, or similar in a quality café, restaurant, members’ club, or hospitality venue
  • Strong all-round cooking skills with a focus on fresh, modern, high-quality food
  • Ability to run a clean, organised, and disciplined kitchen
  • Calm under pressure, with a professional and positive attitude
  • Good understanding of stock control, GP, ordering, and kitchen efficiency
  • High standards of presentation and pride in every plate sent out
  • Strong understanding of food safety and compliance
  • A team player with leadership presence and a hands-on approach 
  • Passion for hospitality, quality produce, and creating a standout guest experience
