We are looking for a Chef de Partie. We are looking for someone who has a strong background in a culinary environment, either as a Chef de Partie or Commis Chef with over 2 years’ experience.  A skilled professional with the ability to oversee specific kitchen sections and with a proven track record of upholding the highest standards of culinary excellence and contributing to the overall success of the dining experience. This is a full-time role and will be reporting into the Executive Head Chef.

Location: The Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel, London

Employment type: Full-time 

Working pattern: Shift work 5 days on 2 days off 

Salary: up to £35,000 per year

The Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel part of Red Carnation Hotels is a four star boutique hotel based in the heart of exclusive Mayfair. Some of its features include 107 bedrooms as well as 7 different events spaces, a Butler’s Restaurant, a Terrace Bar and a Conservatory where we offer our guests a welcoming, friendly atmosphere and exquisite food and drink. 

Key Responsibilities of a Chef de Partie: 

  • Ensuring guests are always receiving an exceptional dining experience.
  • Working with Head Chef to plan creative menu and correct food preparation.
  • Ensuring that all food items are prepared as per standard recipe cards.
  • Maintaining portion control and minimizing waste.
  • Checking the food stock levels within the culinary department areas.
  • Checking quantity and quality in relevance to the hotel occupancy.
  • Supervising Chefs and Kitchen Porters and their activities within the kitchen.
  • Training team members on RCH culinary standards and inspire team members to produce imaginative TNTs, thus creating a memorable guest experience.

What are we looking for?

  • At least 2 years of experience in a culinary role, either as a Chef de Partie or Commis Chef, with a solid understanding of kitchen operations.
  • Ability to supervise, train, and inspire a team, ensuring high standards and smooth operations within the kitchen.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional food quality, consistency, and creativity in line with the hotel’s high standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, including stock management, portion control, and ensuring the kitchen runs efficiently without waste.
