We are looking for a Commis Chef to join our teamThis is a full-time role and will be reporting into the Executive and Head Chef. We are looking for someone who has a strong background in a culinary environment as a Commis Chef within a luxury setting.

Location: The Chesterfield Mayfair, London 

Employment Type: Full-time 

Working Pattern: Shift work (5 days on, 2 days off) 

Salary: £25,397 + service charge

The Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel part of Red Carnation Hotels is a four star boutique hotel based in the heart of exclusive Mayfair. Some of its features include 107 bedrooms as well as 7 different events spaces, a Butler’s Restaurant, a Terrace Bar and a Conservatory where we offer our guests a welcoming, friendly atmosphere and exquisite food and drink. 

Key Responsibilities of a Commis Chef:

  • Assisting in the preparation and production of menus
  • Preparing all dishes to the required standard and specification
  • Maintaining high health and safety standards
  • Being responsible for securing the kitchen when on late duty
  • Ensuring that sections are kept clean, safe and hygienic at all times

What are we looking for?

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Commis Chef in a professional kitchen.
  • A genuine passion for cooking and a keen interest in culinary development.
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • A flexible, proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills.
  • A desire to learn and progress within a luxury hospitality setting.
