Sous Chef 

We are looking for a Sous Chef on a full-time basis. We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role in a four- or five-star hotel or fine dining restaurant. The ideal candidate has experience in leading a kitchen team and has great communication skills; hands-on and able to motivate the team. This position reports directly to the Executive Chef.

Location: Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel (Mayfair, London)

Employment Type: Full-time 

Working Pattern: Shift work

Salary:  Up to £41,000 per annum (including service charge)

As a Sous Chef you will: 

  • Be able to assist the Head Chef on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that all recipes and product yields are accurately costed and reviewed regularly.
  • Ensure that all food items are prepared as per standard recipe cards whilst maintaining portion control and minimizing waste.
  • Training junior members of staff and that chefs are always in clean, tidy uniforms and are always presentable to be in guest view.
  • Maintaining health and safety standards in the kitchen.
  • General section organisation and section ordering
