Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food to agreed recipes, specifications and presentation standards.
- Support chefs during preparation and service.
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation and food hygiene.
- Follow all HACCP, allergen, food safety and health & safety procedures.
- Ensure correct labelling, dating, storage and rotation of all food products.
- Assist with stock control, portion control and minimising food waste.
- Maintain a clean, organised and fully prepared section throughout each shift.
- Handle ingredients and kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
- Communicate effectively with the wider kitchen brigade and support other sections when required.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to developing culinary skills.
- Contribute to the professional, respectful and team-focused culture of the kitchen.
