Why You?

As a Talent of the Broadwick Soho team, you will drive the vision of being a glorious hotel that embraces the spirit of Soho, alongside making our guests feel as comfortable as we do through our values of being independent, embracing, generous, & exquisite.

To assist the Executive Chef in developing and delivering all meals in the Hotel; health and food safety procedures, and HACCP, as well as coordinating and participating with all kitchen operations, menu development and planning.

You will estimate food consumption assist with ordering and maintaining stock inventory, and ensure our highest standards and food presentation, portioning, and taste are according to our exacting standards. A key element will be consulting with the Procurement Manager daily in terms of food ordering or talking with food suppliers as required.  

You are responsible for mentoring, coaching, and developing the junior chefs in cooking and skills. You will also be the leader of the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.

A senior sous chef is ranked directly below the executive chef; hence he plays a vital role in kitchen authority. Sous chefs are responsible for managing all the kitchen responsibilities in the absence of the executive chef; hence, they must be well-versed in all the cooking proceedings.

We believe in flexibility and multi-skilling, and you may be asked to do different tasks from time to time to enable us to meet the needs of our guests and talent.

You will work with brilliant talent across the hotel so that we are one team delivering a seamless and memorable guest experience.


 What do we need from you?

  • Minimum of 10 years of working experience as a chef
  • Minimum 3 years as a sous-chef in a 5-star hotel or fine dining restaurant with a high volume
  • Fluent English is spoken and written
  • Ability to direct and plan food preparation
  • Readiness to discipline any under-performing kitchen staff
  • Ability to impact knowledge into junior kitchen staff if such need arises
  • Experience in schedule creation to ensure the kitchen receives adequate manning
  • Ability to provide consistent food quality
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and carry crates supporting the kitchen staff with the setup of the kitchen and deliveries
  • Ability to stand for several hours
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
