We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Restaurant General Manager for the May Fair Kitchen our destination restaurant at the iconic May Fair hotel.


Overview:
  • A key focus for the role of Assistant Restaurant General Manager will be to continue developing the concept from a service and operational perspective, working in harmony with the kitchen brigade to offer a seamless and high level of service, standards and attention to detail at all times.  
  • Ensure guest expectations are exceeded and opportunities to improve the guest experience by seeking feedback, and evaluating service levels on a daily basis. This will involve implementing new service strategies as required in order to deliver a high level of service and consistency.
  • As Assistant Restaurant General Manager, you will be responsible for coaching, developing and mentoring your hosts, ensuring they are offered an excellent induction to The Londoner and Whitcomb’s team. Alongside this you will also be responsible for the progression and development of the team including supervisors and managers.
  • You will be responsible for driving sales, forecasting and managing payroll budgets in line with the business demands and adjusting accordingly with a proactive approach.

 About you:

  • To be considered for this role of Assistant  Restaurant General Manager, you must have current Restaurant Management experience or Assistant Restaurant Management experience within a similar operation.
  • You must be capable of demonstrating outstanding leadership, coaching and mentoring experience, with a proven track record of team development with a motivational approach.
  • You must have the ability to manage and achieve budgetary goals by analysing historical data, forecasts and revenues, demonstrate experience of driving sale and revenue.
  • You must demonstrate personal ownership of tasks and proven track record of achieving both personally and department goals.
  • Have excellent attention to detail, food and beverage knowledge including fine wines.
