As Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the kitchen operation, ensuring food is prepared and presented to the highest standards while maintaining an efficient, safe and commercially successful environment.
You'll lead and develop your team, oversee menu delivery and stock management, and ensure compliance with all food safety and operational requirements.
Working closely with hotel leaders and operational teams, you'll play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences that keep guests returning time and time again.
What You'll Be DoingLead the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and food service areas
Recruit, train, coach and develop kitchen team members
Ensure exceptional food quality, presentation and consistency across all services
Manage stock control, ordering and supplier relationships
Monitor food and labour costs to support financial performance
Maintain compliance with food safety, health and safety and company standards
Support menu planning, seasonal changes and food innovation
Ensure effective kitchen rota planning and resource management
Work collaboratively with operational teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences
Create a positive, professional and high-performing kitchen culture
Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a hospitality environment
Strong culinary skills and passion for food quality
Experience leading and developing kitchen teams
Good commercial awareness and understanding of kitchen financial performance
Strong organisational and planning skills
Sound knowledge of food safety and compliance requirements
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Positive, proactive and hands-on leadership style
