Position Overview
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse operations in support of Kura’s nationwide restaurant network. This role owns the end-to-end flow of product—receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and outbound shipping—while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, safety, and service excellence.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational judgment, the ability to balance competing priorities, and the confidence to make decisions that materially impact inventory accuracy, service levels, and cost. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and understands how warehouse execution directly supports restaurant operations.
Essential Duties & Authority
The Warehouse Manager exercises discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance, including but not limited to:
Making independent operational decisions in partnership with the Supply Chain Manager, without immediate supervision
Implementing and interpreting warehouse operating practices and procedures
Managing daily operations that materially affect service levels, inventory accuracy, and financial performance
Leading major operational initiatives and improvement efforts
Recommending and executing deviations from standard procedures with executive approval when business needs require
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management
Oversee all daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and returns
Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and disciplined inventory control practices
Utilize ERP and inventory management systems to forecast needs, manage replenishment, and support procurement decisions
Improve and maintain inventory turnover rates aligned with company objectives
Track order fulfillment accuracy, shipping timelines, and service performance to restaurant locations nationwide
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff to achieve operational, quality, and safety goals
Establish clear expectations, workflows, and performance standards
Schedule staffing to meet volume demands while controlling overtime
Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable work environment
Process Improvement & Planning
Design and optimize warehouse layouts, storage methods, workflows, and equipment utilization
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost savings, and operational efficiency
Support implementation of new products and product transitions following corporate product meetings
Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, and external partners
Compliance, Safety & Ethics
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant warehouse environment in accordance with CalOSHA and legal requirements
Enforce safety standards and conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities
Uphold Kura’s code of business conduct, including strict adherence to ethical sourcing and policies
Maintain confidentiality and avoid conflicts of interest
Communication & Collaboration
Communicate clearly and consistently with internal and external partners
Prepare clear documentation, reports, and meeting notes

Qualifications:
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of warehouse leadership experience managing hourly teams
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics
Proven ability to lead teams and resolve operational challenges
Proficiency with warehouse systems and standard office technology
Preferred
Associate’s degree or higher in logistics, supply chain, or related field
Forklift certification
Bilingual or multilingual communication skills
Language Ability
Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading and interpreting business documents and regulations, writing reports and procedures, and presenting information to diverse audiences.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Warehouse environment with moderate to loud noise levels
Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance and up to 10 lbs frequently
Extended periods working at a computer
PAY RANGE: $80,000 - $100,000/yr. DOE.
