This role is a hybrid role.  The selected candidate must be able to come to the office in Irvine, CA on in office days and as needed to carry out necessary functions of the role.

About the Role

Kura Sushi USA, Inc. is seeking a Leave and Accommodation Administrator – Bilingual to manage and coordinate employee leaves and workplace accommodations in compliance with federal, state, and local laws (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, PDL, etc.). This role ensures timely communication, accurate documentation, and exceptional customer service for employees navigating leave and accommodation processes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end leave and accommodation cases: intake, eligibility, tracking, and return-to-work.
  • Communicate leave options and responsibilities clearly to employees and managers.
  • Facilitate interactive process for ADA accommodations.
  • Review and track medical certifications for compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records and confidentiality of employee health information.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Operations for seamless case management.
  • Support benefit premium tracking and COBRA initiation during leaves.
  • Respond to employee inquiries in English and Spanish with empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR 2+ years HR experience (leave and accommodations focus).
  • Knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, ADA, PDL regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS or leave management systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
