We’re seeking a Recruiter to join the HR/Recruiting team! This role is responsible for full life cycle recruiting of restaurant managers, chefs and corporate support staff and will work closely with Lettuce operating partners. We are looking for someone with a passion for the restaurant industry, a love of recruitment and great interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of recruiting experience (agency or in-house)
- 2+ years of experience in Restaurant/Hospitality management
This position is located at our corporate office on the far north side of Chicago (5419 N. Sheridan Road).

The Recruiter will manage
the full life-cycle recruiting process for restaurant managers and corporate
positions.
Essential
Functions
- Manage the full life-cycle recruiting
process for restaurant management and corporate positions including but not
limited to sourcing both passive and active candidates through applications,
referrals and online job boards and niche sites; reviewing application
materials; screening and interviewing by telephone, video technology and in person;
presenting candidates to hiring partners and managers and making compensation
recommendations; administering candidate testing and evaluating, interpreting
and sharing results with partners/managers; managing and/or conducting the
reference check process; and extending and negotiating offers
- Develop and maintain strong partner and manager
relationships through effective communication including but not limited to
prompt response to hiring needs and strong follow-through
- Learn and achieve proficiency in use of one or more
Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) including but not limited to completing all
steps of standard hiring process within ATS to ensure compliance
- Promote LEYE employment brand by modeling our core
philosophies; highlighting our culture, benefits and opportunities; and caring
for every candidate as we do ourselves, our guests and each other
- Collaborate with recruiting team to
fill hiring needs, including but not limited candidate progress and ad posting
strategies
- Maintain availability to perform duties outside
standard business hours on occasion as needed, including evenings and weekends
- Safely
and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and office equipment
- Effectively
communicate to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken
direction
- Multitask
calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
- Work in a
confined, crowded space of variable light, noise and temperature levels
Key
Responsibilities and Duties
- Cultivate
new and existing partnerships with schools and organizations (including but not
limited to culinary schools, local colleges, community organizations,
government agencies, etc.) that will attract,
identify and source qualified candidates
- Attend local
and out of town recruiting events as needed, including but not limited to
career fairs, school visits and LEYE internship events
- Collaborate
with Recruiting team in creating social media recruiting strategies for use on
platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, etc. using working
knowledge of social media platforms
- Work
with LEYE Design team as needed on collateral for recruiting needs such as
career fairs, employment branding, etc.
- Offer
proactive solutions to recruitment challenges based on current knowledge of
industry trends and job markets
- Communicate
with outside recruiters on status of their candidates and assist with
registering and tracking outside recruiter candidates as needed
- Assist in
special projects as needed
- Maintain proficiency
in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment including MS Word
and Excel
- Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of
employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Get along well with others and act as a team player
- Perform other duties assigned as needed
