Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a bartender and senior member of the service team, you will be responsible for orchestrating the food and beverage service to La Sirena’s guests at the bar. Additionally, you will be responsible for crafting the drinks for the main dining rooms, the lobby, and the patio. Alongside the Lead Bartender you will participate in cocktail creation and seasonal changes in cocktail offerings. La Sirena’s bar program will be thoughtfully organized to offer quality and consistency to a very high volume of customers. This is not an entry-level position: You should have a well-developed knowledge of classic cocktail recipes, production, and history. The strongest candidates for bartender will also have a well-developed understanding of Italian cuisine, wines, and the most important regions for both. If you do not yet have those skills or knowledge, see our job posting for Bar Assistant or Assistant Server – both are great positions for developing the attributes we seek in our senior service team.

You must know the NYC Department of Health codes relevant to food service, as well as be comfortable carding any guests who appear to be under the age of 21. This is a full-time position, and you must be able to work a variety of different shifts. Adherence to the La Sirena dress and personal hygiene code is required.

We offer benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) after 60 days of employment.
