The Cashier Lead has ownership of all acitivities surrounding the cash wrap. The cashier lead is responsible for accurately processing all customer transactions at the register in a friendly, quick and efficient manner providing the highest level of customer service possible.


Essential Job Responsibilities:


• Responsible for the cash drawer of a primary store register and processing both customer and associate transactions accurately. Ensure that management authorization is received as required. Close out cash drawer at the end of the day. Organize and reconcile media, prepare bank deposit, and EFT upload.
• Develop an excellent working knowledge of store’s computer systems to ring transactions, look up merchandise availability, receive and transfer merchandise, and perform all other necessary functions.
• Capture customer name and address information for each transaction to compile clientele lists.
• Answer telephones, respond to inquiries and take merchandise orders. Distribute phone orders to sales associates on a rotating basis.
• Maintain cash wrap in a neat and organized manner. Keep track of supply levels and notify manager when items need to be reordered
• Develop a strong knowledge of Lacoste product to help locate items for customers.
• Protect store assets and inventory through an awareness of loss prevention procedures. Report violations to the supervisor. Notify management of suspicious activity in stock areas, on the selling floor, or by cleaning and guard services.
• Assist with the implementation of the store’s visual directives, receipt of new merchandise, stocking and replenishment of the selling floor, and housekeeping.
• Perform all other duties as assigned and required.


Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a retail environment a plus.
• Good communication skills required.
• Must be able to provide prompt and courteous service to customers to help facilitate sales.
• Computer skills to include a retail point-of-sale software system and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Individual must be a team player, outgoing, well-organized and able to prioritize assigned tasks.
• Must have excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Able to perform a wide variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
• Must be able to overcome obstacles and deal with customers in a fast-paced, high-volume and competitive environment.
• Must be proficient working with numbers to ensure correctness of data produced.
