When you join us as a Security Officer at The Dorchester Hotel, you will have a unique opportunity to excel in your field. You will learn from your fellow Legends and our award-winning learning academy to achieve the highest standards in craft, service, and leadership.


What you’ll do

  • You will be responsible for processing the Guest Laundry, Dry Cleaning, Pressing and Employees Uniforms to ensure our guests and employees receive nothing but the best experience.
  • Though skillfully trained, they never lose sight of their ultimate reasonability, to create lifelong memories for our guests.  
  • Our Laundry attendants are responsible for the cleanliness of the Laundry area, assisting with all the daily Laundry operation including changing chemicals, collecting and delivering the employees uniform from and to the uniform room and being flexible during their shift.
  • Our Laundry Attendants must communicate with other departments and extended hotel team in order to ensure the alignment remains.
  • You’ll also show flexibility and creativity within the team any challenges that may arise during your shift

The items shared are the essence of a day in the life of a Security Officer, but we’ll make sure you are provided with specifics on how we care for our hotel.

The operational hours of work are shift-based and may be subjected to change. These currently set as:

  •  07:00 - 15:30
  • 10:00 - 18:30
  • 14:30 - 23:00

What you’ll bring

Essential Skills and Experience

  • English is the primary language used in our hotel. Our Laundry Attendant must feel comfortable communicating in this language  
  • In a fast-moving world, we remain consistent and relevant, requiring flexibility
  • Relevant skills and experience of handling high value garments and dry –cleaning, preferably from five star luxury background
  • Our values of, Passion, Personality, Respect, Working Together and Creativity guide us each and every day. As a Laundry Attendant you’ll have the opportunity to bring these to life and continue to create our legacy. 
  • Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. You have great communication skills with a strong customer service ethic.
