Job Summary:
The role of a Host/Hostess is to create the perfect first impression for all guests entering the restaurant. Job duties include but are not limited to: control the flow of the venue by strategically seating guests based on preference and section while maintaining guest lists, follow and enforce all restaurant standards, greet guests in a professional manner and inform guests of daily activities. Meet all phone etiquette standards. Handle reservation books, take incoming telephone calls, note reservations and special requests by guests.
Responsibilities:
Greeting and thanking all guests
Planning and organizing dining room seating for the evening
Answering the phones and providing information about the restaurant
Clearly and concisely communicating to both guests and employees
Provide high-level customer service and hospitality to clients: including in-person, over the phone, and through email.
Desired Experience:
Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task within a fast-paced environment
Must be extremely quick
Must have prior fast paced dining experience, 1 year preferred
Knowledge of OpenTable Guest center
Must be willing to initiate tasks and perform duties without direction
Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with a wide range of personalities
Must have outstanding customer service and problem solving skills
Must have a positive, can-do attitude
Must have a friendly and professional phone and email etiquette
Must have superior organizational skills
Must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule - must have weekend, holiday and some early morning/late evening weekday availability
