ABOUT US
We’re opening Le Café NAC, a brand-new all-day dining concept in Belgravia, and we’re looking for an outstanding Waiter/Waitress to join our leadership team. This exciting new venue will offer French-inspired food and drinks with global influences, set in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in one of London’s most vibrant neighbourhoods.
Le Café NAC is the latest addition to BVC Group, which operates a portfolio of innovative, globally recognised food concepts, including NAC, Crème, 74 Duke, and Supernova. POSITION SUMMARYAs a Waiter/Waitress, you play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional guest experience through warm hospitality, expert product knowledge, and attentive service. You ensure smooth service flow, follow company standards, and maintain high levels of professionalism while providing a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests.
Service & Guest Experience
Provide exceptionally warm, friendly, and efficient service to all guests.
Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming, ensuring a polished and professional appearance at all times.
Wear a clean, well-presented uniform and adhere to company grooming standards.
Exhibit a confident, engaging, and professional tone when interacting with guests and colleagues.
Demonstrate excellent posture, eye contact, and body language to create a welcoming and attentive atmosphere.
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), service steps, and company standards.
Introduce guests to the menu and announce daily or seasonal specials.
Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, pricing, and allergens.
Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, following company guidelines.
Communicate guest preferences and special requests to the Maître D’/Host.
Ensure correct order delivery, checking food and beverages before serving.
Monitor tables for guest satisfaction and anticipate their needs.
Offer and upsell additional products when appropriate to enhance the dining experience.
Process payments using the EPOS system correctly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy in cash handling, card transactions, and bill splitting. Maintain security of payment terminals and follow company procedures for handling discrepancies or refunds.
Technical & Operational Duties
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the food and drinks menu, including provenance and heritage.
Follow all allergen procedures, ensuring accurate recording and communication.
Maintain an impeccably clean and organised section, assisting in overall venue cleanliness.
Handle table setup and ensure all tableware is clean, polished, and well-presented.
Follow all opening and closing checklists and complete assigned tasks.
Assist in the training of new team members, leading by example.
Attend daily briefings, participating actively and staying informed on updates.
Communicate service challenges, guest complaints, or operational issues to management promptly.
Quality Control & Compliance
Ensure all food and beverages meet the highest quality standards before serving.
Check customer IDs to verify minimum age requirements for alcohol consumption.
Follow all health & safety, hygiene, and fire safety procedures.
Report any maintenance or cleanliness issues to management.
Maintain compliance with company policies on uniform, breaks, attendance, and timekeeping.
Teamwork & Collaboration
Work closely with all departments, including FOH and BOH, to ensure smooth service.
Communicate effectively with the kitchen team regarding orders and guest requests.
Support colleagues during busy periods to maintain service flow.
Foster a positive, professional, and supportive work environment.
Actively participate in training and development opportunities.
Efficiency
Maintain an awareness of business levels and adapt pace accordingly.
Work efficiently during service to support team productivity and minimize downtime.
Follow manager guidance on shift adjustments and business needs.
Help identify areas where service flow can be improved to enhance guest experience and efficiency.
Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a premium restaurant is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage pairings (or willingness to learn).
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Positive, energetic, and professional attitude with a passion for hospitality.
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and peak business periods
Proficiency in using EPOS systems and handling payments.
Fluency in English; additional languages (French, Arabic) are a plus.
