We’re opening Le Café NAC, a brand-new all-day dining concept in Belgravia, and we’re looking for an outstanding Bartender to join our leadership team. This exciting new venue will offer French-inspired food and drinks with global influences, set in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in one of London’s most vibrant neighbourhoods.
Le Café NAC is the latest addition to BVC Group, which operates a portfolio of innovative, globally recognised food concepts, including NAC, Crème, 74 Duke, and Supernova. With a strong presence in London, Paris, and the Middle East, BVC Group is known for blending creativity with operational excellence, delivering outstanding dining experiences across multiple markets.
The Bartender plays a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience through expert drink preparation, efficiency, and service excellence. Responsible for maintaining bar operations, stock control, and cleanliness, the Bartender is a key contributor to the atmosphere, pace, and profitability of the venue.
Drink Preparation & Service
Learn and master house cocktail recipes, tailoring drinks to guest preferences.
Have in-depth knowledge of all beverages, including spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options.
Construct and serve drinks efficiently and accurately according to company standards.
Follow allergen policies, ensuring proper guest communication and drink preparation.
Offer drink recommendations based on customer preferences and menu pairings.
Maintain high service standards, ensuring all guest interactions are warm and engaging.
Ensure all drinks are consistently presented at the highest quality.
Check customer IDs to verify minimum age requirements for alcohol consumption.
Stock & Bar Maintenance
Assist in stock control, ensuring accurate inventory management.
Replenish bar supplies, ice, and garnishes as needed throughout service.
Minimize waste and breakages by handling glassware and equipment carefully.
Follow company maintenance and care procedures for bar tools and equipment.
Assist in batch preparation and garnish station setup before service.
Ensure bar stations are fully stocked, organized, and ready for peak service.
Cleanliness & Hygiene
Maintain high cleanliness standards across the bar, floor, and service stations.
Polish glasses, silverware, and bar tools to ensure high presentation standards.
Follow food safety, allergen, and hygiene protocols at all times.
Dispose of waste properly and maintain a tidy, organized workspace.
Adhere to opening and closing checklists to ensure smooth daily operations.
Guest Experience & Customer Service
Provide friendly, engaging, and professional service at all times.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the drinks menu, seasonal specials, and pairings.
Communicate customer preferences and feedback to the team.
Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate concerns to management when necessary.
Support the floor team when required, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
Payments & Cash Handling
Operate the EPOS system efficiently, ensuring all transactions are processed correctly.
Handle payments, bill splitting, and refunds securely and accurately.
Follow company procedures for managing cash, card payments, and service charges.
Personal Grooming & Presentation
Maintain a polished, professional appearance and adhere to company uniform standards.
Ensure high standards of personal hygiene at all times.
Display confidence, charisma, and positive body language in guest interactions.
Training & Development
Attend all scheduled training sessions to enhance skills and product knowledge.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and cocktail techniques.
Support junior team members and share knowledge to help develop their skills.
Proven experience as a Bartender in a high-paced, premium venue.
Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and beverage pairings.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality and speed.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and peak business periods.
Proficiency in EPOS systems and cash handling.
Fluency in English; additional languages (French, Arabic) are a plus.
