ABOUT US
We’re opening Le Café NAC, a brand-new all-day dining concept in Belgravia, and we’re looking for an outstanding Runner to join our leadership team. This exciting new venue will offer French-inspired food and drinks with global influences, set in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in one of London’s most vibrant neighbourhoods.

Le Café NAC is the latest addition to BVC Group, which operates a portfolio of innovative, globally recognised food concepts, including NAC, Crème, 74 Duke, and Supernova. With a strong presence in London, Paris, and the Middle East, BVC Group is known for blending creativity with operational excellence, delivering outstanding dining experiences across multiple markets.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Runner plays an essential role in ensuring smooth restaurant operations by supporting the service team and maintaining high standards of efficiency, cleanliness, and organisation. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Food & Beverage Running

  • Facilitate waiters with food and drink delivery.

  • Ensure that hot food and drinks are delivered to the correct section while still hot, and that iced drinks or frozen dishes arrive unmelted and in perfect condition.

  • Present food and drinks to the section waiter and ensure timely, accurate delivery.

  • Clearly communicate allergens and modifications to waiters before serving dishes.

  • Develop and maintain food and beverage knowledge to assist the service team effectively.

  • Attend all scheduled training sessions to improve skills and ensure adherence to service standards.

  • Provide clear and concise communication from kitchen and bar to floor.

Bar & Beverage Assistance

  • Make coffee and assist with other beverages as required.

  • Assist the bar team with preparation of batches and garnishes.

  • Transport ice and bar stock to maintain sufficient supply levels.

  • Remove glassware from bar and service areas, preparing them for washing.

Cleanliness, Organization & Presentation

  • Maintain an immaculate and organized restaurant floor and service areas, including terraces.

  • Assist kitchen porters with wash area organization as needed.

  • Replenish stock at waiter stations and bars to maintain efficiency during service.

  • Follow and complete all opening and closing checklists.

  • Dispose of waste properly and ensure all workspaces remain clean and presentable.

  • Remove trays and unwanted items from the floor area promptly.

  • Transport bus trays efficiently to ensure quick turnover of tables and maintain cleanliness.

  • Polish glasses, silverware, plates, and cutlery to maintain high presentation standards.

  • Minimize breakages by handling all glassware, dishware, and equipment with care.

  • Maintain high personal grooming and presentation standards, ensuring a professional and polished appearance at all times.

Guest Interaction & Customer Service

  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.

  • Alert waiters, bartenders, hosts, or managers to guest issues or special requests.

  • Ensure exceptional service standards are delivered in line with guest expectations.




KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a premium restaurant is an advantage.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good communication skills; ability to relay information clearly and precisely.

  • Physically fit, able to transport trays and navigate service stairs efficiently.

  • Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and peak business periods.

  • Understanding of food safety, health & safety, and allergen awareness procedures.

  • Fluent in English; additional language skills (French or Arabic) are a plus
