We are currently seeking a dedicated Grounds & Gardens Person to join our experienced team at Leez Priory, one of the UK’s most iconic and beautiful Grade I listed wedding venues.

This is a full-time position offering a varied and rewarding role for someone who is passionate about horticulture and takes pride in creating and maintaining stunning gardens. From sweeping lawns to detailed flower displays, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the grounds reflect the elegance and charm of the venue year-round.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day general gardening duties across formal and informal grounds

• Lawn care including mowing, edging, and strimming

• Hedge cutting, pruning, weeding, and garden maintenance

• Planning and creating seasonal flower displays

• Growing plants from seed and plug, and propagation work

• Working in the polytunnel for vegetable and herb cultivation

• Small-scale garden renovation projects

• Supporting with minor guest-related grounds issues and general upkeep

• Weekend work required on a rota basis

About You:

• A genuine passion for horticulture and garden care

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred

• Knowledge of a wide range of plants and maintenance techniques

• Skilled in the safe use of horticultural tools and machinery

• Eye for detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable, well presented, and enthusiastic

• Driving license or access to your own transport essential due to location
