JOB DESCRIPTION
Lemons & Olives is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team. Our ideal kitchen leader will have strong culinary and leadership skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create new seasonal menus for catering and events
• Spearhead menu creation for the new to-go place in Brooklyn
• Hire, fire, schedule, lead and mentor the kitchen team
• Create a positive work culture and environment
• Ensure consistent product in a time sensitive manner with the utmost attention to detail
• In charge of DOH compliance and maintaining an “A” grade
QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong culinary and leadership skills
• Experience producing large volume of hors d’oeuvres
• Loves processes, detail-oriented, self-starter
• Strong written and spoken English language skills. Spanish language a plus
• Knowledge of New York food safety laws. DOH Certificate a must.
• Understanding of food trends
• Use of Mac
This position offers a full time salary commensurate with experience. Health insurance and a bonus package included.
