Description

Job Advert
Waiter/Waitress

Salary: £ 13.5 - £15
Hours: Full-time

The Opportunity

We are looking for confident, energetic and genuinely caring people to join our front-of-house team.

This is more than simply taking orders and delivering food. Our waiters are responsible for creating a warm and memorable experience for every guest, maintaining excellent standards throughout the restaurant and supporting the wider team during busy services.

L’ETO is a fast-paced, walk-in business, so we need people who can stay organised, positive and attentive even when the restaurant is extremely busy.

We strongly believe in developing people from within. Many of our supervisors and managers started as team members before progressing through training and taking on greater responsibility. For someone with the right attitude, consistency and ambition, this role can become the beginning of a long-term career with L’ETO.

About L’ETO

L’ETO began as a bright café in Soho and has grown into an international all-day dining brand with approximately 40 locations across seven countries, including the UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and Jordan.

We are known for our distinctive cakes, high-quality food and drinks, beautiful presentation and welcoming guest experience.

Our teams are multinational and diverse, and we want everyone to feel respected, supported and able to develop. We value open communication, continuous learning, teamwork and genuine opportunities for career progression.

Your Role

As a Waiter/Waitress, you will take ownership of the guest experience from the moment customers arrive until they leave.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming guests warmly and helping them find a suitable table.
  • Explaining the menu and confidently recommending dishes, drinks and cakes.
  • Taking orders accurately and delivering full table service.
  • Checking on guests throughout their visit and responding quickly to requests.
  • Managing your section efficiently during busy services.
  • Working closely with the kitchen, bar and management teams.
  • Processing bills and payments accurately.
  • Making drinks when operationally required.
  • Preparing the restaurant before service and completing closing duties.
  • Cleaning and resetting tables promptly.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the dining areas, service stations and guest toilets.
  • Following all food safety, allergen, hygiene and company procedures.
  • Supporting colleagues wherever needed to keep the restaurant operating smoothly.

At L’ETO, job titles do not prevent anyone from helping. We are a hands-on team, and everyone is expected to contribute to the cleanliness, organisation and successful operation of the restaurant.

What We’re Looking For

You should have:

  • A genuine passion for hospitality and excellent customer service.
  • Previous waiter or waitress experience.
  • A warm, confident and engaging personality.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good attention to detail and high personal standards.
  • Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude.
  • A willingness to receive feedback, learn and develop.
  • Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings and weekends.

It would be an advantage if you also have:

  • More than two years of waiting experience.
  • Experience providing full table service.
  • Experience working in a busy café or casual-dining restaurant.
  • Confidence managing your own section.
  • Good knowledge of food, drinks, allergens and suggestive selling.

Benefits

  • Tips
  • Generous and achievable bonus opportunities.
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme through Health Assured.
  • 75% discount on food and non alcoholic drinks while working.
  • Exclusive team discounts when you are off shift.

  • Opportunities to develop into supervisory and management roles.
  • A personalised cake for your birthday.
  • The opportunity to work within a growing international business.
