Petersham Nurseries is a place of quiet beauty and considered living, where food, nature, design and community come together. Set within our greenhouse restaurant and surrounding gardens in Richmond, we are seeking a Lifestyle Manager to lead and curate the day-to-day experience across our retail lifestyle offering.

This is a role for someone who understands that Petersham is more than a destination, it is a feeling. You will shape how our guests move through the space, from the first welcome to the details they take home.

The Role

As Lifestyle Manager, you will take ownership of the retail and lifestyle environment, overseeing the shop floor, team, guest experience. You will lead a team with warmth and clarity, balancing commercial performance with an intuitive understanding of the Petersham aesthetic.

You will be responsible for driving revenue, maintaining exceptional visual standards, and ensuring the space evolves with the seasons, always aligned with our wider brand and storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the lifestyle and retail team, creating a calm, confident and guest-focused culture
• Oversee daily operations of the shop floor, ensuring impeccable standards across in presentation
• Curate and maintain the Petersham aesthetic across all retail spaces, working closely with floristry and buying teams
• Drive commercial performance through thoughtful product placement, storytelling and guest engagement
• Work alongside senior colleagues to support a data driven purchasing strategy – offering analysis and recommendations in line with the Lifestyle targets.
• Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns, events and seasonal moments
• Manage stock control and support ordering and supplier relationships in line with our values of sustainability and provenance
• Ensure the environment is always welcoming, considered and aligned with the rhythm of the gardens

About You

• Proven experience in a retail leadership role
• A strong visual eye, with an appreciation for design, floristry and seasonal living
• Commercially aware, with the ability to drive sales while protecting brand integrity
• A natural leader who builds engaged, motivated teams
• Detail-driven, organised and calm under pressure
• Passionate about sustainability, craftsmanship and thoughtful guest experiences
