The role:
At our hotel, we’re looking for a team who are passionate about Cornwall and our local food and drink producers, and are eager to be a part of this county's incredible way of life. As a member of our team, you'll work alongside others who prioritize our guests and support each other.

We seek dynamic individuals are: Organised, supportive and professional… As the restaurant supervisor, you’ll assist the restaurant manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of the restaurant. As part of the team, you’ll be friendly, hardworking and guest-focused. You’ll ensure that yourself and the team always exceed guest expectations, by supervising in a relaxed but professional way.

We have two contracts available - one permanent contract and one fixed term contract from 16th December to 4th January. 

What your days could look like:

  • Help assist with all beverage ordering, and deliveries to ensure good stock control, minimal wastage and that all budgeted GP’s are met.
  • You’ll need to have a thorough knowledge of our menus
  • Help ensure the continued smooth running of the restaurant
  • Deputise for the restaurant manager, when required
  • Work with the head chef and restaurant manager to improve all aspects of our food service
  • Assist in the ongoing training, development and performance management of a large team
  • Handle guest complaints, requests and enquiries in a relaxed yet professional manner
  • Help create a safe environment for both team and guests and adhere to the company’s health and safety policy and procedures

Job skills & requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year in a supervisory position within a restaurant environment
  • A good knowledge of customer care/ complaint handling
  • Sound product knowledge of food and drink
  • A friendly and outgoing personality
  • A passion for proving the best customer service possible
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Ability to work in and manage a team
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Good leader/team motivator
  • Decision maker
  • Excellent communication skills
