The
role:
At our hotel, we’re looking for a team who are passionate about Cornwall and
our local food and drink producers, and are eager to be a part of this county's
incredible way of life. As a member of our team, you'll work alongside others
who prioritise our guests and support each other.
We're looking for a Restaurant Host to join our team in The Living Space. You'll ensure that guests receive a warm welcome and friendly goodbye whilst supporting the bar and waiting team in leading a smooth service.
The role is for 33.5 hours per week Monday - Sunday and shifts will be a mix of mornings, days and evenings.What your days could look like:
- Welcome guests in and out of the restaurant in a warm, friendly, timely and relaxed yet professional manner
- Ensure the smooth running of the restaurant through considered hosting.
- Keep the host desk stocked and ResDiary up to date.
- Keep the area you’re responsible for clean, tidy and organised.
- Take care of guests’ billing.
- Give new team members a helping hand, and support their training and development.
- Work together, as part of our committed, efficient and dynamic team.
Job skills & requirements:
- A basic knowledge of food and drinks
- A team player, with bags of enthusiasm and personality
- A real energy and passion for everything you do
- A desire to provide an excellent guest experience
- A genuine intent to use the latest technology for a smooth ordering and billing process, without compromising guest experience
- The ability to work smart, and understand that self-belief and hard work will always earn you success
