About the Role:
As a Head Host, you will oversee a team managing inbound reservations and guest enquiries for Blackhouse. This is a restaurant-focused role where delivering outstanding guest service and maximising bookings are at the heart of everything you do.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead and inspire the Reservations team to deliver exceptional service, ensuring all restaurant reservations and enquiries are handled with efficiency and professionalism.
-Oversee inbound calls, emails, and online booking channels, guaranteeing prompt, accurate, and guest-focused responses.
-Develop and implement strategies to maximize table bookings, encourage upselling, and drive revenue through special events and promotions.
-Foster a culture of hospitality excellence, ensuring every guest feels valued and cared for throughout their booking experience.
-Provide comprehensive training, ongoing support, and regular performance feedback to team members, empowering them to succeed.
-Monitor team performance, identifying strengths and areas for improvement to optimize service delivery.
-Maintain clear and effective communication with floor managers, ensuring alignment between reservations, sales strategies, and operational needs.
-Coordinate and arrange team efforts to proactively support sales initiatives, driving increased revenue and enhancing guest satisfaction.
-Collaborate closely with the Business Development Manager to align booking strategies with the venue’s objectives, adapting to business demands and market trends.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a guest-focused, sales-driven leadership role, ideally within hospitality or restaurant reservations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sales and organisational abilities with a results-driven mindset.
- A passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation systems (such as Collins or similar) is highly desirable.
- Social media profficency and a passion for capturing Blackhouse's vibe and energy!
