Our Food & Beverage venues play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences, and we are looking for reliable and detail-focused Venue Cleaners to help maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards at The Dog & Duck.

About You

You’ll take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation across a busy pub and restaurant environment.

You’ll be practical, organised and enjoy hands-on work, ensuring all guest-facing areas are clean, safe and welcoming at all times.

You’ll be reliable and safety-conscious, with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team, particularly during busy service periods and closing routines.

Previous cleaning or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.

Essential Requirements

  • A team player who demonstrates kindness
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards
  • Ability to follow cleaning, hygiene and safety procedures
  • Good time-management and ability to work independently
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain all areas of The Dog & Duck, including bar areas, dining spaces, toilets and back-of-house areas
  • Ensure all guest-facing areas are clean, presentable and ready for service at all times
  • Carry out regular toilet checks, ensuring cleanliness, restocking and hygiene standards are maintained
  • Complete end-of-day deep cleans, including floors, surfaces, toilets and high-touch areas
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly, following COSHH and company procedures
  • Ensure cleaning equipment is used, stored and maintained correctly
  • Identify and report hazards, spillages or maintenance issues promptly
  • Follow colour coding and hygiene practices to prevent cross-contamination
  • Ensure cleaning cupboards and storage areas are kept tidy, safe and secure
  • Work around service times safely, ensuring minimal disruption to guests
  • Support the wider venue team during busy periods where required

Hours of Work

Flexible contract types available.

This role will include early mornings and weekends, with a focus on maintaining standards during and after busy service periods.

Main hours of work will be between 6am-10am 3-4 days per week.
