Our Indoor Waterpark and Swim School play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our guests and local community. We are now looking for passionate and enthusiastic Swim Teachers to deliver safe, engaging and high-quality swimming lessons to both children and adults.

About You
You will be a qualified Swim Teacher who enjoys helping swimmers develop confidence, skills and a love for the water.
You’ll be patient, enthusiastic and professional, able to deliver structured swimming lessons while creating a fun, safe and supportive learning environment.
You will feel comfortable engaging with children, adults and parents/carers, and take pride in seeing swimmers progress and achieve their goals.
Above all, you care about safety, swimmer development and delivering high-quality lessons every time.
Essential Requirements
· Swim England Level 1 or Level 2 (or equivalent) teaching qualification.
· Ability to deliver structured and engaging swimming lessons safely.
· Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with children and adults.
· Ability to remain calm, professional and organised in a pool environment.
· Commitment to safeguarding, safety standards and high-quality teaching.
· Ability to complete registers and maintain accurate swimmer progress records.
Desirable
· Experience teaching swimming within a leisure centre, swim school or club environment.
· Familiarity with the Swim England National Plan for the Teaching of Swimming.
· Experience using lesson management systems such as CoursePro or similar.
· First Aid qualification or willingness to complete training.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver safe, engaging and structured swimming lessons in line with the centre programme and Swim England guidance.
· Prepare and follow lesson plans appropriate to swimmer ability and class outcomes.
· Support swimmers to develop confidence, technique and measurable progress.
· Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
· Complete registers for every class and ensure swimmer attendance is accurately recorded.
· Assess swimmer progress regularly and update progress records within the approved system.
· Build positive relationships with swimmers, parents and carers, providing appropriate feedback on progress.
· Follow all health, safety and safeguarding procedures including NOP and EAP guidelines.
· Report hazards, incidents or safeguarding concerns immediately and follow correct escalation procedures.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Waterpark and Leisure team to deliver a high-quality Swim School programme.
· Maintain professional standards including appropriate uniform and conduct when teaching.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
· Swim England Level 1 or Level 2 Teaching Qualification (or equivalent).
· Ability to deliver safe and engaging swimming lessons.
· Strong communication and organisational skills.
· Commitment to safeguarding and safety standards.
Desirable
· Experience teaching swimming within a leisure or swim school environment.
· Knowledge of structured teaching frameworks such as the Swim England programme.
· Experience using swimmer management systems such as CoursePro.
Hours of Work
Swim School lessons operate across evenings, weekends and peak holiday periods.
Flexibility to work variable shifts is essential.
