Commitment: Fractional basis 6-10 days per month, mix of on-site in Hammersmith and remote based.

Purpose of the role
Lamington Group is entering a new phase of growth, with rounds of investment, increasing operational complexity and a need for enhanced financial oversight, reporting, and strategic planning.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading all financial aspects of our growing organisation. The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, playing a critical role in driving our financial strategy, supporting our ambitious growth plans, and ensuring the long-term financial health of the business, all while championing our core values.
Acting as a player coach the CFO will provide the strategic financial leadership and hands-on support during a period of transformation. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Managing Director, this role will be responsible for the finance department and financial input into the business. Managing and working with the finance team to strengthen internal controls and processes enabling it for scale and growth. Lead and direct long term financial planning and risk management inline with the businesses sustainable and hospitality strategies The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, experience operating in hospitality or asset-heavy environments, and the ability to balance strategic input with operational delivery.
Key Responsibilities
People
Team: Oversee and mentor the finance team preparing it for the business growth and AI tech evolutions.
Operational teams: Encourage the culture of financial partnering to support the operational and development teams succeed in their roles.
Stakeholder & Board Engagement: Present financial analysis and insights to internal and external stakeholders; support investor reporting and lender engagement.
Places
Strategic & Commercial Finance: Be the strategic financial advisor to the business, advising on financial strategy, growth planning, and risk management of the OPCO and DevCo. Provide insights and recommendations to drive business decisions based on forecasts, scenario modelling, and long-term planning. Support with funding strategy, including equity/debt structuring
Financial Management & Reporting: Management of the reporting frameworks across group entities that support the delivery of the financial success of the business. Oversee monthly accounts, forecasting, board packs and budgeting processes to ensure timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making.
Systems, Processes & Controls: Be driven with an automation and task elimination mindset to streamline and improve current systems and processes. identifying improvement or automation opportunities; implement robust financial controls across reporting, treasury, and compliance; lead process redesign or system upgrades with AI at the cornerstone of decisions.
Planet
Strategic & Commercial Finance: Supporting sustainable growth strategies as a certified B-Corp and advise on financial strategy and risk management.
Financial Management & Reporting: Support with underwrites of sustainability initiatives to ensure profitability focus. Prepare financial reporting for internal and voluntary statutory reporting.
Candidate Profile
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong post-qualified experience.
Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience in SME environments in hospitality, property, lifestyle, or sustainability sectors.
Understanding of the complexity of multi brand B2C businesses
Knowledge and experience in investor management and relationships
Property, real estate, or asset-heavy sector experience preferred.
Hands-on, able to manage operational detail in lean teams.
Skilled in improving reporting frameworks and financial controls.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
