THE ROLE

OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sous Chef, someone who would be a part of a global expansion journey and will have a lifechanging opportunity to have career progression and professional growth. 

You will be responsible, as second in command to the Head Chef, for food in their venue, in every aspect, including quality, stock control, food safety and product consistency. You will be the driving force and an inspiration for the entire kitchen team, someone who won’t be fazed by high volume and thrives on challenges.

Attention to detail is at the heart of everything we do, from product choice and menu development to creating the perfect environment throughout the day, every day.

As a Senior Sous Chef, you are responsible for stock management, stock taking, and placing orders.

To deliver the best in class training and development, work alongside your team to ensure they receive full support in delivering great food service.

To work alongside the management team in creating and delivering premium dishes consistently. 

You should be efficient, reliable, and perceptive, with excellent communication and time management skills.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen, incorporate respect and cooperation within all departments

Being in control and to be able to assume the Head Chef’s responsibilities in their absence

Assisting the kitchen to become the best, hands on approach

Helping to create an extensive training and development plan for employees, tailored to their individual needs, abilities and skills, monitoring implementation

Keeping the highest standards of food quality, working with premium ingredients, ensure excellent and consistent presentation

Adhering to the budget and keep stock and labour costs under control

Comply with H&S, food safety standards set by our hygiene auditors

You must have a minimum of 2 years of previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment.

Fast learner- curious, proud, and confident in dealing with your team 

You must have a good understanding of working safely. Advanced knowledge of food safety compliance

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Good knowledge of stock systems and stock controls
