THE ROLE
OVERVIEW
Attention to detail is at the heart of everything we do, from product choice and menu development to creating the perfect environment throughout the day, every day.
As barback, you will be accountable for upholding an exceptional standard of execution in a high volume, high-energy, high-pressured, activity-based hospitality venue.
A key focus of the role would be supporting the bar team in delivering exceptional service.
The barback is observant and efficient when working with other team members to ensure that our guests receive prompt, seamless service.
The barback will assist in cleaning the bar, preparing garnishes, ensuring the bar is well stocked with napkins, straws, glassware, garnishes, and all other necessities, and taking on other duties to support the bartender and ensure that the bar operates smoothly.
To be a successful barback, you should be passionate about working as part of a team to deliver excellent drinks and service to each guest.
You should be efficient, reliable, and perceptive, with excellent communication and time management skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assisting with opening and closing duties, such as restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins, ensuring that Bartenders have clean towels, glassware, etc
· Ensuring the bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer
· Checking taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly, making minor repairs, or changing out kegs if needed
· Keeping the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles
· Maintain records and report levels of usage to assist in the reordering process and ensure that delivered items are stored properly.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
You must have previous job experience in hospitality, ideally as a barback.
You must have a good understanding of working safely and have the ability to meet physical and scheduling demands on the position- lifting heavy items, working late nights and standing for long periods of time.
Cellar maintenance training.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
