Front of House Restaurant Supervisor

Role Description 

Working in and leading the Front of House team you are responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high-class restaurant operation. You will work in our restaurant inside the venue, serving sliders and sharing plates to parties and group bookings, and seated meals to dining customers. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Providing top quality restaurant service to compliment the customer experience.  
  • Leading a small team on shift, ensuring staff are performing up to standard.  
  • Taking orders and serving food with enthusiasm, engaging with customers.
  • Dealing with customer complaints as first point of contact. 
  • Escalating any issues to the correct superior staff member.
  • Monitor and rotate stock to reduce wastage. 
  • Maintain a clean and presentable service area at all times, clearing tables of empty glasses, wiping down menus and table surfaces. 
  • Assist in setting up, laying cutlery and menus.  
  • Helping to close the restaurant, deep cleaning the area. 

Other Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Ensure all training is completed and documented.  
  • Proactively contribute to and suggest ways of improving company processes and procedures.  
  • Assisting in the onboarding and upskilling of newer members of the team.  

Skills 

Technical 

  • 5 years of restaurant service experience.  
  • 2 year of experience in managerial or supervisory positions.
  • High volume restaurant operation experience.  
  • Experience leading teams as well as working independently.  
  • Experience serving at large events. 

Personal  

  • Flexibility to work regular evenings and weekends.  
  • Positive, ‘Can do’ attitude, picking up any additional responsibilities to help the wider team. 
  • Engaging, confident and pleasant communicator.
  • A keen eye for detail, never compromising on standards and keen to deliver an amazing service. 
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt.  
  • Excellent verbal and written English is required for this role.
