Role Description

Leading the Kitchen team, you are responsible for the delivery of a high-class food service. You will lead our double kitchen, supporting and Toni Loco, to serve food to customers throughout their CUBE journey.

Relationships

Reports To:

General Manager

Works closely with:           

Kitchen staff, Front of House team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Orchestrating and leading top quality food service to complement the customer experience.
  • Prepare and cook dishes, including burgers and Toni Loco pizzas.
  • Ensure food is always delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Leading the kitchen team on shift, ensuring staff follow direction at all times.
  • Organising shifts and rotas with fairness and sufficient time to plan.
  • Reporting and dealing with operational or equipment issues locally or escalating to the correct department lead as required.
  • Monitor and order stock, ensuring sufficient levels at all times.
  • Liaise with suppliers; manage orders and deliveries.
  • Managing HR, including 1-2-1's, disciplinaries and performance reviews.
  • Ensuring the highest level of safety and hygiene at all times.
  • Recruiting and training new staff members.
  • Maintain a clean and presentable service area at all times.
  • Assist in setting up; stocking sauces and prepping ingredients.
  • Helping to close the kitchen, deep cleaning the area and putting away all tools.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure all training is completed and documented in a timely manner for yourself and the team – including all allergen / food safety training.
  • Working with the franchise group and marketing department on Menu changes.
  • Dealing with customer complaints.
  • Proactively contribute to and suggest ways of improving company procedures.
  • Design and implement new processes as directed by the senior team.
  • On boarding and training new members of the team.

Competence in more than one of the following technical/job specific skills:

  • 10 years of Kitchen / Cooking experience.
  • Experience leading large teams including back-office responsibilities.
  • High volume kitchen operation experience.
  • Recruiting, building and training teams of kitchen staff.
  • Implementing processes to improve service and operations.
  • Experience opening and closing the kitchen area.

Personal

Competence in all of the following personal skills is required for this role:

  • Flexibility to work regular evenings and weekends.
  • Positive, ‘Can do’ attitude, picking up any additional responsibilities to help the wider team.
  • Strong leadership.
  • A keen eye for detail, never compromising on standards and keen to deliver an amazing service.
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt to the changes of a growing company.
  • Making suggestions for improvements.
