The Role
As Head Kitchen Porter, you will take ownership of the porter department, leading by example to maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment. You will be responsible for supervising the KP team, managing daily cleaning schedules, and ensuring smooth back-of-house operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading, training and motivating the Kitchen Porter team
Organising rotas and delegating daily tasks effectively
Receiving, checking, unloading and storing deliveries correctly
Overseeing pot wash operations, including pots, pans, utensils and dishwasher management
Ensuring all kitchen areas meet strict hygiene, health and safety standards
Managing waste removal and recycling processes efficiently
Supporting chefs and management with kitchen setup and operational needs
Maintaining equipment and reporting maintenance issues promptly
We are looking for a proactive leader with strong organisational skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to maintaining exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards. Previous supervisory experience within a high-volume hospitality environment is essential.

Strong leadership and team management skills
