FCB Coffee Paddington lounge is hiring!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager to help lead our team and embrace the fast-paced challenges of the retail industry. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the right personality, in-depth knowledge, and a genuine passion for the coffee business.

The Role
Reporting to and supporting the Store Manager, this role plays a central part in the daily operations of FCB Coffee Lounge at Paddington Station. You’ll be responsible for looking after your team, financial performance, stock control, reporting, and deliveries. You will also be fully accountable for the smooth running of the store in the Manager’s absence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store
  • Maintain brand standards, including presentation, cleanliness, health and safety compliance, and station security procedures
  • Support the management team in inspiring and training both new and existing staff to deliver excellent service and uphold our brand values
  • Manage purchase orders, stock levels, and deliveries
  • Work closely with all department leads to ensure our products and service meet brand expectations
  • Step in to manage the store when the Manager is unavailable
  • Address staffing issues or customer complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Conduct staff reviews and report outcomes to the Store Manager

  • Strong customer service, communication, and leadership skills
  • A solid understanding of financials, including the ability to control costs and minimise waste
