Head Chef at Loveday Kensington (luxury senior living) manages all kitchen operations, creating menus for residents, controlling costs, overseeing food prep, ensuring top-tier service (like fine dining), leading the kitchen team, maintaining hygiene/safety, and liaising with staff/members for dietary needs, focusing on dignity, quality, and personalized, healthy meals within a unique luxury setting. 

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Menu & Food Quality: Develop menus, oversee food preparation, ensure high standards, and cater to special/dietary needs (cultural, religious, health).
  • Kitchen Management: Manage inventory, order supplies, control stock, minimize waste, and ensure equipment maintenance.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, train, and motivate kitchen staff; conduct supervisions and performance reviews.
  • Member Focus: Engage with residents to understand preferences, address concerns, and provide exceptional dining experiences, promoting health and happiness.
  • Operational Standards: Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and quality standards, complying with audits.
  • Collaboration: Work with Front of House and other departments for seamless service delivery.

  • Experience in fine dining and luxury hospitality.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
  • Positive attitude, hardworking, and physically capable.
