Marketing Manager (Casual Brands) - MJMK
An exciting new role for the group, we are recruiting for a Marketing
Manager to join our Head Office support team and manage the development of our
London-based casual restaurant brands. This includes our Latin American-inspired restaurant and bar, La Rampa in Oxford Circus, and the rollout of our
much-loved Portuguese concept, Casa do Frango. With two popular sites in London
Bridge and Shoreditch, we are opening our third, flagship Casa do Frango on
Heddon Street this summer, with a fourth, large central London site to launch
soon after.
Marketing Manager - Job Overview:
The Marketing
Manager at MJMK will work as part of a cross-functional sales and marketing
team, using the full marketing mix to deliver campaigns and activations that
contribute to brand awareness, sales and profit growth. An exceptional copywriter, highly organised with a passion for social media (Tik Tok and Instagram), attention to detail and an awareness of the latest industry trends, the Marketing
Manager has responsibility for managing the rollout and execution of brand
marketing campaigns, both on and offline, for MJMK casual brands.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and working in collaboration with the wider
marketing team, the Marketing Manager will plan and activate the annual and quarterly marketing
calendars for each concept and brand location, in line with group strategy.
Building partnerships, conceptualising campaign briefs and managing the
delivery of stand-out campaigns that
engage our audience across different mediums, in order to create cut-through in
a busy London market.
A key responsibility is driving our social media channels forward, staying on top of trends and directing stand-out content. The Marketing Manager will work in collaboration with our creative support team to produce creative content for Tik Tok and Instagram, managing the content calendars, and working and communicating closely with the Operations team to plan in content shoots.
The Marketing Manager will drive influencer strategy and manage the day-to-day PR agency
relationships (when agencies are engaged) ensuring key quarterly deliverables are
achieved and impactful PR campaigns for new Casa do Frango
locations.
An analytical and creative thinker who can evaluate and continuously improve on
the success of previous activities, the Marketing Manager will stay on top of wider industry and digital trends, exploring and presenting innovative ideas to help us
evolve our creativity and come up with next-level campaigns that will get our
brands noticed by our target audience.
The Marketing Manager acts as a brand ambassador for MJMK and should be comfortable
liaising with key stakeholders and brand partners at all levels, across all of our
concepts, supporting with MJMK brand campaigns as required.
Key Responsibilities
· Conceptualise, brief-in and manage MJMK casual brand marketing campaigns across all platforms, with support from the Head of Marketing, with a focus on conceptualizing and directing creative campaigns for digital platforms including TikTok and Instagram.
· Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure casual brand digital channels and third-party platforms are always up to date and reflect the brand in the best possible way.
· Responsible for copywriting, content accuracy and creative direction across brand channels (e.g. social media, website, newsletters, menus) working with Digital Marketing Manager and Social Media Exec to ensure content is always on-brand, accurate and up to date.
· Oversee and manage the social media calendar for casual brands, driving strategy and planning creative content.
· Support with content creation for MJMK social media channels as required.
· PR agency management. Day-to-day management of PR agencies, co-ordinating press and influencer bookings, and hosting influencers and brand partners in venues as required.
· Project management of brand partner activations, brand collaborations or PR-focussed events at MJMK venues or externally (e.g. Wilderness).
· Support the Operations team with quarterly brand induction sessions for new team members as required.
· General team admin, ensure all casual brand files and images are correctly saved and labelled on our central system.
· Support with the production of monthly and quarterly MJMK group marketing reports.
· Brand ambassador for MJMK casual brand concepts.
Requirements
· Highly organised and detail-oriented. Exceptional copywriter with an eye for quality photography, videography and snappy captions. Enjoys conceptualizing creative campaigns and content for Tik Tok and Instagram
· Uses initiative and a structured approach to getting things done in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to learn and continually improve
· Strong, professional interpersonal skills. Able to build stakeholder relationships across the business with all departments and external agencies
. Enjoys spending time on site, building relationships with our Operations teams
· Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects at once
· Minimum of 3 years hospitality or related agency marketing experience
· Competent user of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Social Media,
· Strong preference for photoshop / InDesign / Canva experience
· Experience of working within a team involved in new restaurant openings
· Ideally educated to degree level
Key Relationships
· This role will report to the Head of Marketing, working collaboratively with the current MJMK marketing team plus a retained photographer and graphic designer
· The role will work closely with the wider head office and operations team, ensuring an integrated, strategic and professional approach is maintained always
· The Marketing Manager will build productive relationships with our key agencies and external suppliers, ensuring service level agreements are maintained and our brand values are upheld at all times
Working Week
. This role will work flexibly between head office and our restaurants, with the potential to work from home one day a week on request.
