Position Summary:
Uphold the core values of Magnolia Bakery and our mission statement while consistently presenting and promoting brand integrity, product quality and customer service standards.
Reports to: Production Facility GM and V.P. of Production
Principle Duties:
· Ensure all baked goods, merchandise, supplies, and other items as requested are loaded safely and in a manner that will prevent damage in transit.
· Ensure in the process of products arriving safely, on time and in excellent condition to customers and NYC bakeries
· Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
· Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
· Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
· Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meter.
· Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
· Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools.
· Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.
· Confirm that appropriate delivery documentation is generated for each order.
· Responsible for set up of the production facility which includes cleaning, organizing, storing documents and general up keep.
· Correspond with General Manager to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or product that fail to meet company standard.
Physical demands and work environment:
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; sit and reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision. Lift, pull, move, product weighing up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis, numerous times throughout the day.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
· Hours of work for the position are approximately 40 hours per week. Must be available to work holidays and weekends.
· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required. Personable with good communication for direct customer contact.
· Must be dependable.
· Clean and professional appearance.
· Must have a working cell phone. Magnolia Bakery will reimburse work-related calls/text messages.
· Follows policies and procedures as outlined in the Magnolia Bakery manuals.
· Takes directions well and hits the ground running.
· Understands expectations of role and works within the boundaries of the role.
