The Role: Maintenance Technician
Our Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in keeping our Surf Resort in top shape! You'll be hands-on with the cove, wave generator, and water treatment system, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Plus, you'll maintain and enhance our buildings, accommodation units, and the entire site, making sure our visitors have an unforgettable experience every day. What you will be doing:
§ Carrying out reactive and preventative planned Maintenance at the Lost Shore Surf Resort (LSSR) Edinburgh.
§ Working as a Team Member of the Maintenance Team, the role involves out of hours work and at times, lone working.
§ Accountable for delivering a world class Visitor experience in a safe, appropriate and legally compliant manner.
§ Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and working with and alongside Maintenance Team Members.
Visitor Experience: Demonstrate expertise in our offerings, prioritise visitor satisfaction by understanding their needs, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to enhance visitor retention.
Working as a Team: Work with the Maintenance Manager to foster a positive workplace, adapt to feedback, stay informed, address challenges promptly, and ensure adherence to People Policies and Procedures.
Financial Aspirations: Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to achieve visitor targets by mastering our eMaint system, executing daily maintenance tasks, managing priorities, balancing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and legal obligations.
Ways of Working: Ensure adherence to LSSR's Health and Safety (H&S) policy, fostering a robust H&S culture within Maintenance, maintaining legal compliance, and providing accurate incident records to Heads of Departments and Duty Manager Teams.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
§ Demonstrate exceptional independence and problem-solving skills, coupled with a dedication to addressing issues promptly and effectively.
§ Either have a mechanical engineering background or hold electrical qualifications.
§ Embrace a customer-centric mindset, maintaining unwavering standards of excellence and fostering enduring relationships with stakeholders.
§ Exhibit outstanding organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a clear understanding of ethical principles, ensuring optimal outcomes in all endeavours.
§ Display resilience, composure, and proficiency in handling challenging situations, while remaining committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and environmental responsibility.
Additional Information:
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll need to be flexible with your schedule. Our resort operates seven days a week, and early morning, late evening and weekend work will be required. Availability to work out of hours, at times as a lone worker and often, when the site is shut.
Your commitment to ensuring the resort’s smooth operation during peak times is essential.
