Mission

As a Shift Engineer, you will ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of all hotel facilities. You will support both preventative and corrective maintenance activities, contributing to a safe, compliant, and comfortable environment for guests and employees.


Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with company standards and schedules
• Respond to and complete corrective maintenance tasks efficiently and safely
• Ensure compliance with all technical and legal requirements
• Support the monitoring and optimisation of energy usage across the hotel
• Assist in identifying maintenance improvements and operational efficiencies
• Participate in maintenance inventory control and stock checks
• Respond to fire alarm activations and follow emergency procedures as part of the fire safety team
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system updates
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure minimal disruption to guests
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and presentation


What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in a similar engineering or maintenance role, ideally within a hotel environment
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems
• Understanding of health & safety and compliance standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Flexible approach to working shifts
• Good communication skills
• Proactive and reliable attitude
• Eligibility to work in the UK is essential
