Maintenance Assistant

40 hours per week over 5 days - Monday to Friday

£13 to 14.50 per hour

This role has potential to progress to Maintenance Manager in 12-14 months when the current Maintenance Manager retires.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT AT OUR HOTEL 

 

As Maintenance Assistant, you will maintain a safe and secure environment for yourself, guests, and colleagues in line with the company's security, operating and environmental policies by carrying out mandatory checks on electrical equipment. Finally, you will ensure you are well organised to guarantee minimum impact to guests and colleagues, whilst also delivering a consistently high standard of work and attention to detail during each shift.

 

What you'll be doing...

  • Maintaining grounds by clearing leaves and gritting paths when necessary
  • Inspecting, fixing and maintaining equipment and machinery
  • Completing scheduled maintenance tasks
  • Conducting preventative maintenance and identifying when items need upgrading or replacing
  • Liaising with contractors to ensure that they complete projects on time
  • Painting and decorating
  • Ensuring rooms are maintained and fully equipped

·       Carrying out mandatory checks on all equipment

·       Work closely with the housekeeping team to ensure all maintenance issues are rectified as quickly as possible.

·       Deputise for the Maintenance Manager
