We're looking for a practical and proactive Maintenance Operative to help keep our hotel safe, well-maintained and welcoming for our guests and team members.

This is a hands-on role where you'll support the day-to-day maintenance of the hotel, carrying out repairs, preventative maintenance and general upkeep across the property.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance across the hotel

  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner

  • Assist with the upkeep and presentation of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces

  • Support the Maintenance Lead and Property Manager in maintaining a safe and compliant environment

  • Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance issues

  • Carry out minor repairs, decorating and general maintenance tasks

  • Assist contractors and suppliers when required

  • Maintain maintenance records and complete documentation accurately

  • Ensure tools, equipment and work areas are kept safe and organised

  • Help create a safe, secure and well-maintained environment for guests and team members

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, property or trade-related role is desirable

  • Good practical skills and knowledge of general building maintenance

  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively

  • Understanding of health and safety requirements

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Positive and professional approach to work

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Flexible and willing to support the wider hotel operation when required
