Role Description:

We’re looking for a passionate Assistant Catering Coordinator to join our team! Our ideal candidate is passionate about food, beverages, and welcoming customers through our doors. No task is too small for you. When you join our team, you’ll be responsible for providing a friendly, helpful, and responsive level of service to all of our guests. You love cookies, you are always ready to lend a helping hand to a colleague & you don’t take yourself too seriously. The Assistant Catering Coordinator is a full-time on-site role which will be responsible for managing catering sales, providing customer service, coordinating food service activities, and utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure successful events and partnerships. Please note the work week for this role will be Wednesday to Sunday. 

Responsibilities/What you'll do:

• working alongside maman’s executive catering and event chef and catering manager

• ensure that catering offered to our guests is of superior quality and brand identity

• respond to catering requests in a timely manner

• own, manage and process all lunchbox orders daily as well as corresponding client relations

• assist catering manager with additional catering orders received outside of lunchbox as needed

• maintain working knowledge of current menus and be able to discuss them and advise clients on orders as needed

• ensure that catering offered to our guests is of superior quality and brand identity

• organize, manage and execute large catering activations; ability to lead and train staff to assist with packing out large scale activations

• maintain catering supply inventory in LIC warehouse for large scale activations as needed

• close attention to detail, ability to cross check information and proofread

• strong computer skills, experience with 3rd party delivery platforms

• Posting payments for third-party deliveries (3PD)

• sense of urgency with an ability to prioritize and follow through on tasks

• ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues with catering orders as well as client issues

• proactive thinker who is receptive to direction and can also offer suggestions

• confident and clear communication skills (Spanish a plus)

*note this role will require ability to work out of our LIC commissary kitchen location 2-4 days a week (of 5 day week) with remaining day(s) in our NYC office
