Aviva Studios is Manchester’s landmark cultural space and home of Factory International — a global destination for arts, music, and creativity. Our café is an essential part of the visitor experience, offering high-quality coffee, food, and service in a vibrant, creative environment.
The Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Barista / Café Team Member to join our team full-time (approximately 40hours per week). You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, preparing and serving a range of hot and cold drinks, and ensuring the café is welcoming, clean, and efficiently run.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages to specialty standards
  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt customer service
  • Operate tills, handle payments, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
  • Support with food preparation, presentation, and stock rotation
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following food hygiene standards
  • Help with restocking, cleaning, and setting up displays
  • Work as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Uphold the values and ethos of Aviva Studios in every interaction
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
  • Passionate about great coffee and hospitality
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
  • Experienced in a similar barista or café role (minimum 6 months preferred)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and event days
  • Friendly and approachable, with excellent communication skills
  • Committed to high standards of cleanliness and safety
