Oversee the full operation of the laundry department, including planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring daily processes to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Develop and implement department policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards.
Manage and train the laundry team, providing ongoing coaching and motivation to maintain excellent performance and service delivery.
Monitor operational and financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and achieving profitability and productivity goals.
Ensure proper maintenance and functioning of laundry equipment by coordinating with engineering and maintenance teams.
Collaborate with other departments (such as Housekeeping, Operations, and Procurement) to meet all linen and garment needs of the hotel.
Manage supplier relationships and ensure the availability of high-quality laundry supplies at cost-effective rates.
Prepare regular reports on department performance, quality indicators, and future resource planning.
Contribute to sustainability and eco-friendly initiatives by optimizing laundry processes and resource use.
Proven experience in managing laundry operations within a hotel, hospital, or similar large-scale environment.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a team.
In-depth knowledge of commercial laundry processes, fabric care, cleaning chemicals, and industry best practices.
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
High commitment to quality, safety, and compliance with local and international standards.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Experience working with hospitality systems or computerized laundry management software.
