Assistant GM

Maple Block Meat Co. is a Texas-style barbecue restaurant. Opened in 2015, we're a community focused, food and hospitality driven restaurant looking for an ambitious, creative assistant general manager to join our team with potential for growth into a general manager role.

We need:
- Support of FOH, reporting to the general manager of the restaurant.
- Strong beer/wine knowledge as well as food background required.
- Assisting in HR functions such as hiring, employment practices, and payroll in addition.
- Experience in various POS systems to assist in updates and trouble shooting when necessary in assistance to the general manager.
- Management of FOH teams in assistance to the general manager, acting as a mediator in guest or employee needs.
- Catering / event assistance when needed.
- P&L accountability and invoice tracking experience a plus.
- Maintaining transparent vendor relations.
- Marketing and support of restaurant events and promotions.
- Weekends required
