The Role
We’re searching for a passionate, experienced Restaurant & Bar Manager to lead our front-of-house team and help us raise the game even further. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of both the restaurant and bar, ensuring outstanding guest experiences, driving commercial performance, and fostering a dynamic, high-energy environment in line with the Hovarda brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all front-of-house operations (restaurant service, bar, late-night offering)

  • Lead, coach and develop the service team to deliver exceptional guest experiences

  • Ensure the brand’s standards for hospitality, quality, atmosphere and presentation are consistently met

  • Manage daily scheduling, staffing levels (including evenings peak & events), and rotas

  • Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate service, menu launches, seasonal changes

  • Monitor and drive commercial performance: revenue, costs (labour, voids, wastage), and profitability

  • Maintain excellent standards of health & safety, licensing, alcohol control and regulatory compliance

  • Collaborate with marketing and events teams to maximise venue utilisation (private events, late-night bookings)

  • Foster a strong culture of guest-centric service, attention to detail, team morale and performance

  • Act as a visible presence on the floor, engaging with guests, receiving feedback, resolving issues and maintaining high standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as Restaurant/Bar Manager (or senior front-of-house manager) in a high-energy, stylish dining & bar venue

  • Strong commercial mindset: you understand the numbers and how to drive sales & profitability

  • Outstanding leadership skills: you motivate and develop teams, maintain high standards and lead by example

  • Excellent guest service ethos: attentive, warm, engaging and always seeking improvement

  • Great organisation, planning and execution skills — you’re comfortable balancing restaurant service, bar operations and special events

  • Strong understanding of bar operations, cocktail culture, alcohol licensing and late-night service dynamics

  • Comfortable working evenings Tuesday to Saturday

  • A hands-on approach: you’ll be present on the floor and behind the scenes

  • Passion for hospitality, the Mediterranean lifestyle/food culture and creating memorable guest experiences

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary upto £40K per annum

  • Staff benefits: discounted dining, drinks, access to training and development opportunities

  • Opportunity to work in a vibrant, stylish venue in the heart of Canary Wharf, one of London’s most dynamic hospitality locations

  • A collaborative, supportive team environment with strong brand identity and ambition
